Don't Eat Yellow Snow
Don't Eat Yellow Snow
aA4 recycled paper stock, Vansons rubber ink (sold unframed)
Hand set and hand printed letterpress using a fantastic reversed modern woodtype face possibly attributable to designer Jacob Erbar (1878-1935) (maker unknown). Also called Whiteletter or Cameo Woodtype, the subject of snow seemed fitting. Coupled with a salvaged zinco of a woman in some pretty hip apres skiwear (ex USA) circa 1950/60
An old add-age learnt as a 7 year old learning to ski at Mount Robert Ski Club (Nelson Lakes National Park, NZ) circa 1980. Turns out it's a line from a Frank Zappa song 'Don't Eat The Yellow Snow',
"Raro" or 'Jungle-juice' powder mixed with clean snow was a safer alternative.
