Handset and hand printed letterpress in East London
Letterpress printing with this early variant of the famous Johnston sans woodtype is akin to casting a robust yet delicate dryfly over a cagey browntrout. This is an early variation of the face, judging by the Garamond style W. Sourced from an eclectic old printer in Watford back in 2012. The capital A is stamped with a circular Stephenson Blake Logo - the original maker of the type. The small metal type is Granby and was a knock of Johnston by the same company.
